How your address is handled
This site collects one thing, and only if you offer it: the email address you type into the notify form on the book page. If you never use that form, the site holds nothing about you. Here is exactly what happens to the address if you do.
Who
The site is run by Marcus Norrgren, at whatwebuildfor.com. Anything below — a question, a correction, a request to be removed — reaches a person at marcus (at) whatwebuildfor.com.
What is stored
Your email address, and the date you entered it. Nothing else. No name, no location, no record of whether you open or click anything — the list is a plain list, not a tracked one, and nothing on this page or in any later email watches what you do with it.
Why
To send you one email, when the book is published. At most one more after it, and only if that first one needs a correction. That is the entire purpose. There is no newsletter, no second use, no other message — ever.
On what basis
Your consent, given by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time: email marcus (at) whatwebuildfor.com and the address is removed. There is no unsubscribe link, because there is no mailing system behind this — the list is small and handled by hand, and removal is done the same way, by a person, on request.
Where it is kept, and for how long
The address is stored in Cloudflare KV, a storage service run by Cloudflare, Inc., in the United States. It is deleted after the announcement email goes out — and in any case automatically within 400 days of the day you entered it, whichever comes first, even if that email is never sent. The promise is plain: this list is temporary by design, and it disappears.
Who else sees it
No one. The address is never sold, shared, or handed to any other party. Cloudflare holds it only as this site's storage, on the site's behalf. Because Cloudflare is in the United States, outside the EU/EEA, that rests on Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum, which carries the Standard Contractual Clauses as the safeguard for the transfer.
Your rights
You can ask what is stored, have it corrected, have it deleted, or withdraw your consent — all by writing to marcus (at) whatwebuildfor.com. If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
